January 30, 2012 (rev. 2/2/2012) - TransYouth Family Allies (TYFA) has launched a new web page in support of Girl Scouts, in thanks for being supportive of transgender girls as members.
Remember the transgender child who was in the news in 2011 after seeking to join a local Girl Scout troop? Her brand new troop just formed! Show your support for this troop and for the Girl Scouts!

January 9, 2012 - University of Louisville - Rustin Community Provides New Option for Student Housing. "The Office for LGBT Services, along with Housing and Residence Life at U of L, is proud to announce the launch of a themed housing option for students who are interested in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) issues or who identify as LGBT themselves."   More button 
December 11, 2011 - Boston.com - Led by the child who simply knew: The twin boys were identical in every way but one. Wyatt was a girl to the core, and now lives as one, with the help of a brave, loving family and a path-breaking doctor’s care.  More button
January 23, 2012 - Flamingo Rampant! Gender Independent Kids Books: "THE ADVENTURES OF TULIP, BIRTHDAY WISH FAIRY follows title-character Tulip as he deals with the birthday wishes of all the nine-year-olds in North America."  This is one of the books, introducing the concept of trans-identified children in a friendly, sympathetic way, that the founders plan to distribute to schools and libraries. Kids' ability to see themselves in books available to them is an incredibly valuable thing. Any parent, teacher, librarian, or caregiver will tell you that kids love books that reflect their daily experience.  Please help support the project.  "more" button
