Dear TYFA families,
I’m a sociologist at New York University, and a long-time advocate for the transgender community. I’m writing a dissertation/book that will examine the experiences of families with schools and communities, and with the doctors and researchers who work on issues related to trans youth.
I’m looking for families of all shapes and sizes with transgender and gender variant children 18 and under from across the U.S. So, if you’re a primary caregiver of a kid and would be willing to talk with me, please get in touch using the information listed below.
Families in or near New York will be interviewed on a rolling basis. Families from other parts of the United States will be scheduled for different times over the next few months.
Please feel free to be in touch, even if you’re not sure you want to participate. I’m happy to field any questions you might have.
With thanks,
Tey Meadow
