Social transition is simply changing your outward appearance (hairstyle, clothing and outward gender expression) and your name and pronouns. There is no medical intervention involved in this type of transition and is commonly referred to as a “real life test”. It is completely reversible.

Medical transition consists of medical intervention to alter the physical/sexual characteristics of your body in order to affirm your gender identity.
